Hey everyone just a quick question to ask.... As a dancer I am in the stage of my practice where I am transitioning from full time training into finding work within the Arts industry. So, what is the best way for you to find out of any performing arts jobs and opportunities? Do you search particular websites? Maybe use web 2.0 by searching social media? Word of mouth? Have an agent? Or any other ways in which you find useful or not very useful. I would really appreciate your opinions and knowledge from experience so please leave a comment if you want to and we can discuss it! Thanks, Sian

What is my inquiry? What is my practice? How do they link? Why are these questions raised for me? My inquiry topic is about ‘What Dance jobs and opportunities are available in the Performing Arts industry and the key factors which can impact employment ’. As my practice currently revolves around dance and performance mainly, and I am now at that point within my practice after my college training where I am auditioning for dance jobs and looking for dance opportunities. My topic links well with my practice as I always ask myself what dance jobs are available within the performing arts industry ? as I want to know what I am interested in applying and auditioning for. I also want to make sure there are jobs within the industry where I can earn enough money to support myself.
